Buick & GMC Warranty Coverage Overview
Every one of our new Rick Weaver Buick GMC vehicles comes with a quality warranty that protects the car’s most vital components and systems. However, since many shoppers don’t know the details of that coverage – or some of the other excellent warranties on offer – our team has assembled a brief guide for your peace of mind.
New Vehicle Warranties
The following warranties cover every new Buick and GMC vehicle:- A bumper-to-bumper limited warranty that covers the entire vehicle for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct any defect in materials or workmanship for three years or 36,000 miles.
- A powertrain limited warranty covering the car’s components for repairs, including parts and labor, due to defects in materials and workmanship for five years or 60,000 miles.
- Also, when you purchase or lease a new vehicle, your first GM service visit is covered. This includes an oil change, a multi-point vehicle inspection, and a tire rotation.
Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Warranties
If you purchase a GM Certified Pre-Owned car, you’ll have two warranties to consider:- For CPO vehicles that are less than ten years old and have less than 100,000 miles: a six-month or 6,000-mile limited bumper-to-bumper warranty. This goes into effect upon the expiration of the vehicle’s original new vehicle limited warranty.
- For CPO vehicles 10 - 15 years old and have between 100,000 - 150,000 miles: a 30-day or 1,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
OEM GM Parts Warranties
Whenever your car genuine GM parts for repairs, maintenance, or accessorizing, you’ll be happy to know that virtually every part is covered by one of two parts warranties:- Genuine parts such as engine components, oil filters, and water pumps are covered by a 24-month / unlimited-mile limited warranty.
- Genuine parts such as front & rear bumper fascia, sheet metal, and suspension are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
